The Roots
You'll be learning Hatha/Vinyasa style yoga from the Akhanda lineage; taught to me by Adi Shakti and to her by Yogrishi Vishvketu (whom I was also fortunate to study with in India). Why is lineage important?? We'll learn a lot more about this, but in short, lineage provides unity between a disciple of yoga and the historical origin of the practice. It is the foundation of yoga's heritage - humble, subtle and free from the pitfalls of individual ego.
You will leave this training with the confident ability to create and guide a yoga class, understanding of teaching through a trauma informed lens, as well as learning many things that apply to living your yoga (far beyond the poses).

What to Expect
You can expect to feel inspired, overwhelmed, proud, scared, nervous, empowered, strong, weak, tired, rejuvenated, and the other million feelings and emotions that exist. Please walk into this knowing that we will go deep, we will connect with each other, we will share and be vulnerable as we work through what we know, don't know, thought we knew, and realize how much there is to learn! But, to summarize... you will get out of it what you put into it and can count on at least these things:
* The ability to safely and confidently sequence and guide a yoga class.
* Understanding of Yoga history, our lineage, and Yoga philosophy.
* Pranayama (breathwork) and meditation, whether to guide or for your own practice.
* Teaching methodology, ethics, basics, and techniques to be inclusive to all bodies and abilities.
* Basic Anatomy and Physiology to knowledgably guide students safely in their body to their ability.
* How to look at the world, and teach, through a trauma informed lens, understanding that we all have triggers and that it's important to recognize them in ourself and others so that we can all work to be better and more compassionate humans.
* A general understanding of our Nervous System and how to find balance through Breathwork and Movement.
* Understanding of our energy bodies through study of the Chakras.
* Mantras & Mudras
* Yoga and Sound Healing
* And you'll learn things about YOU that feel brand new and maybe a little exciting or scary, but guess what? You'll be held and in a safe space through it all.

Next training begins February 2025
This is a hybrid training. Most classes are Virtual but LIVE, however there are a couple of in person weekends. If you live farther than a driveable distance, we will work together to accommodate your needs.
What does this mean? It means we will be on together- this is not pre-recorded or self-paced.
ALL Classes are virtual unless otherwise noted.
Dates: (attendance required to graduate)
Weekends:
Saturday, February 28: 8a-5p CST (in person)
Sunday, March 1: 9a-1p CST (in person)
Saturdays, March 14 & 28: 8a-5p CST
Saturdays, April 11 & 25: 8a-5p CST
Sunday, April 12: 9a-1p CST
Saturdays, May 9 & 30: 8-5p CST
Saturday, May 16: 9a-1p CST
Sunday, May 31: 9a-1p CST
Wednesdays
March 4th through June 10: 5:30-8:30p CST
(many Wednesday nights will be for practicum)
Required reading, class sequencing, and other assigned classes you will need to attend (in your time) to complete the program make up the remaining time/hours.

NOTES:
- Life comes up- you can miss and make up a small number of hours as agreed upon ahead of time, but missing a little will put you a lot behind, so know that we will work together to get you caught up- should that need arise. I appreciate your communication in these instances.


Tuition
TOTAL INVESTMENT: $2222 (paid in full)
Non-Refundable Down Payment of $500 due by February 1st, 2026 (this counts toward total cost).
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
(in order of most to least cost effective)
1. Pay in Full: Pay $2222 by February 1st
2. Monthly Payments: Pay $500 down payment by February 1st, 2026 and make monthly payments Feb, March, April, May, and June of $375. (total amount: $2375)
3. Monthly Payments: Pay $500 down payment by February 1st, 2026 and make monthly payments Feb, March, April, May, June, July, August, & September of $300. (total amount: $2900)
REFER A FRIEND: For each person you refer who signs up, you will receive $200 off your total amount due once they are paid in full.

All Yoga classes at the Healing Shack (live or virtual) are free for you during your training.

*REFUND POLICY:
This is a very time intensive training and includes the collaboration of other experts, teachers, and facilitators, therefore; there will be no refunds given once you have committed to the training.
Please be sure this is an investment you want to make before you commit as space is limited and I don't want you to have to pay if you're not able to be in it for the duration.
