More Details:
What's Included?
* Lodging from October 25 until November 1, 2026
* Meals (beginning with October 25 dinner through November 1 breakfast)
* Shuttle Van from San Jose Airport to Retreat Location (5 hour ride).
* Yoga, Cacao Ceremony, BriBri Tour, Guided Jungle Hike to the Waterfall, and Kayaking adventure!
Things to know:
* You MUST have a valid passport (must attain 6 months prior to departure- so by April 24th, 2026).
* You do not need a travel visa (unless you are extending your trip another 83 days).
* Currency: Costa Rican currency is colones. USD and clones can be used to pay for all things related to tourism. There are ATM's in Puerto Viejo that give either currency. I would recommend having some of each (small bills are easier) and (my personal tip)...it's cheaper to get currency through your bank prior to leaving and definitely don't exchange at the airport- it's much more expensive. Some places only accept cash, so don't solely rely on your Credit Card.
*Taxes: There is a tourist tax of $28 per person upon leaving Costa Rica- however it is MOST likely to be included in your airline ticket price. You can check with your airline to be sure (once you book your flight).
* The resort is a 5 hour drive from the San Jose Airport. A shuttle is provided as part of your trip, but you also have the option to take a domestic flight from San Jose to Limon using Sansa Air (flysansa.com/en/home) Limon is about an hour drive from the resort if you choose that option. Included in your registration is the shuttle from San Jose, NOT the domestic flight. If you take that option, you will need to coordinate that yourself. I will provide a spreadsheet to attendees in July/August 2026 to coordinate shuttles based on arrival times.
* Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is required (my rule, not theirs). I've done this enough times to know that things can come up and you'll always be glad you have it. I typically use Travel Guard as they are reasonably priced. Please let me know if you have questions about this.
* Vaccinations: There are no vaccinations required to enter Costa Rica. If you have questions, you can speak with your doctor for advice/considerations. A fully equipped emergency facility/clinic is within 20 minutes of where we're staying, for your peace of mind.
Answers to Potential Questions
Q: Will there be WIFI?
A: Yes, the lodge has fiber optic WIFI, but it may not be accessible in your bungalow. I would also recommend contacting your cellular service to ask about International plans, so that you don't get crazy charges in case you connect to cellular data.

Q: What should I bring?
A: I'll provide you with a packing list once you are registered. BUT, I do like to stick to the rule of "once you are packed, take out half of your stuff, and you'll be all set".
Q: What is Nature like in Costa Rica?
A: Costa Rica is well know for its thriving natural habitat. They do a great job protecting nature and the place we're staying is considered Eco friendly, as everything goes back to nature. Expect to see a wide variety of plants, butterflies, insects, howler monkeys, sloths, and more. It's all jungle! There are mosquitoes, but they are not excessive. Your bungalows are enclosed and bed nets are provided but optional.
Q: What are the accommodations like?
A: You'll be staying on site in Bungalows (two to a bungalow). They are open air (without air conditioning) as temperatures stay between 77-89 degrees Fahrenheit year round. All Bungalows have ceiling fans and the evening air is often cooler. Yes, there are beds (we're not going THAT rustic). :)
Q: What if I want to check out local shopping/beaches on our own?
A: Go for it! There is transportation readily available (You HAVE to take a Tuk Tuk ride if you've never done so!). In our immediate area there is a local market, a few cafes, a few great eating options (including pizza) and a great artistic souvenir shop! A 5 minute walk from the resort will get you to the beach... think warm, beautiful turquoise water. It may very well be your favorite place to be.

Q: Can I bring my partner?
A: Absolutely, this retreat is for everyone- if they’re aligned with the vibe and ready to immerse themselves in the experience, bring them along!

Q: What about alcohol?
A: If you want to go out and enjoy a beverage, that is your prerogative. My request is that when onsite or taking part in group activities, no alcohol is allowed (prior or during). I want you to be fully present.
